Pilates Classes

Pilates is a physical fitness system developed in the early 20th century by German-born Joseph Pilates. It is especially practiced in the United States (where Pilates lived, developed, and taught his method) and the United Kingdom (where he lived and taught early stages of his method). As of 2005, there were 11 million people practicing the discipline regularly and 14,000 instructors in the United States.

Mat+ Classes

Mat+ will deliver a great pilates workout. The variety in Mat+ classes provides a total body workout that strengthens the core, tones the hips and thighs and flattens the abs. Mat+ classes uses traditional pilates exercises performed on a mat, but also spices it up with the use of small props such as small ball, pilates ring, stretch bands and foam roller. Through Mat+ classes you will develop a strong mind-body connection and improve your overall ability to coordinate movement. You will improve strength, posture, agility and flexibility. Mat+ is a great class to add to any exercise regime.

Reformer+ Level 1

This class tones every major muscle group while paying special attention to proper execution, biomechanics, alignment and symmetry so that you leave the class feeling rejuvenated, balanced and energized. Reformer+ Level 1 offers all the famous benefits of pilates including overall strength, flexibility, coordination and balance. These things lead to daily life improvements, like long lean toned muscles, better posture, improved movement and for many, relief from pain such as back pain. Reformer+ Level 1 classes provide a unique and varied exercise environment and are suitable for those with no previous experience or for anyone wishing to find a deeper understanding of their pilates practice.

Reformer+ Mixed Level

Reformer+ mixed level is a full body workout involving more complex repertoire and sequencing. It also provides all the famous pilates benefits of improved coordination, balance, posture and flexibility. It tones arms, legs, gluets and abdominals. This class has pace and flow with focus on taking your technique to a whole new level. You will leave class energized, balance and empowered. This class is a progression from Reformer+ level 1 and prior experience is highly recommended.

Reformer+ Power

Designed for intermediate to advanced clients. This is a dynamic pilates class which mixes classical and power moves. Clients preform the exercises in an interval training format with minimal rest in between moves. It’s a full body workout designed to build strength, increase endurance and cardiovascular capacity while still focusing on the core principles of pilates.
